In the karst Dalmatian hinterland, fifty kilometers away from Split, lays the village Kijevo. It is surrounded by rich sources of water but it still doesn’t have its own local water supply. There have been three attempts to bring water to the village but the water never came. The documentary film “Let There Be Water” shows, through numerous impressions, a surreal atmosphere of trenches, old ladies, sheep, harsh nature and “ojkanje” (traditional loud chanting), and at the same time while looking at this reality makes us think about the eternal themes of life and death.
