Episode 1: Krleža’s Oeuvre

The first episode chronicles Krleža’s childhood and formative years, until the foundation of the Institute of Lexicography which bears his name. In this period his most significant works come to life; dramas The Legends and The Glembays, novels The Return of Philiph Latinowicz, On the Edge Of Reason and Ballads of Petrica Kerempuh.

Episode 2: The End of the Road

This episode features Krleža’s encounter with film and televison adaptations of his works.

Episode 3: Krleža Today

The topic of the third episode is the reception of Krleža’s work today. We follow rendition of his plays in staged theaters in the region; The Glembays in Belgrade and Zagreb, Europe today in Maribor.

The series features Krleža’s contemporaries and experts who talk about his life and work: Predrag Matvejević, Zdravko Zima, Boris Senker, Krešimir Nemec, Georgij Paro, Ante Stamać, Tonko Maroević, Josip Vaništa, Rade Šerbedžija and others.
